1. The "Victory Day" Award Operation is
organized to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.
The Operation will be conducted from 1 to 15 May 2005.
2. 23 special-event stations (including 18 district and 5 central stations) will
participate. They will be distinguished by two characters VD (Victory Day) in their
call-sign suffixes.
3. The VD special-event station operating schedules will be published on PZK web sites: www.ot25.pzk.org.pl and www.pzk.org.pl
4. To obtain the "Victory Day" Award, EU stations should score 30 points
and DX stations 10 points. No more than two contacts with the same special-event station
will be counted for the Award, however, contacts with the same station must be made:
a) either on different bands, or
b) with different modes, or
c) on two different days.
5. Points scored by working special-event stations:
a) District stations (3Z1VD, 3Z2VD, 3Z3VD, 3Z4VD, 3Z5VD, 3Z6VD, 3Z7VD, 3Z8VD, 3Z9VD,
HF1VD, HF2VD, HF3VD, HF4VD, HF5VD, HF6VD, HF7VD, HF8VD, HF9VD): 3 points each;
b) Central stations (3Z60VD, HF60VD, SN60VD, SP60VD, SQ60VD): 5 points each.
6. The following stickers will be available: "Excellent" (for logging all the 23 21 VD stations);
"Splendid" (for logging all the 23
21 VD stations at least twice each, with either different
modes or on different bands).
7. The Award Sponsor will publish the list of stations which have fulfilled the
"Victory Day" Award Rules on the PZK web sites by 15 July 2005.
8. Foreign stations will be granted the "Victory Day" Awards free of charge. No
applications are required. However, sticker winners should send extracts from their logs
via e-mail to: ot25@pzk.org.pl
9. "Victory Day" Awards will be sent to respective national QSL Bureaus. The
operators who do not use Bureau services are requested to send their postal addresses via
e-mail to: ot25.pzk.org.pl
